Please be polite and friendly when using this chatroom (this is meant to be a positive place), and feel free to discuss any issues you want to bring up in relation to the site or anything to do with alternative media in the north. This might be a request for help, commentary you may have on newswire stories or events, positive feedback for the collective or just that you would like to find out more about getting involved. Don't be offended if there are only a few people in the room and they seem to be ignoring you, many of us leave our chatroom clients on when we go to the pub/whatever so might not be at our computers. Feel free to leave us a message if this is the case though.
important note: When you click on this button, you will receive a security warning that the Certificate for the chat site is not trusted. This is because Indymedia has chosen not to use a commercial certificate signing authority, opting instead for community driven projects, which unfortunately not all browsers recognise. This is completely harmless and normal, so it is safe to click the ignore button when the warning pops up. Hopefully you should only ever have to do this once.
If you wish you can alter the adress in the address bar to "http" as opposed to "https", though we really don't reccommend doing this as it means everything you type will be transmitted unencrypted to the chatroom.
