Today at 12noon on Saturday 31st October nearly 200 people gathered in Bradford city centre to oppose the demolition of the abandoned Odeon Cinema. The rally saw speeches from local campaigners outside the city's town hall, then outside the Odeon itself with a human chain around the building and finally culminated at the Westfield development site.

At 15:00 hours, 450 EDL protestors were kettled in city square to listen to talks and to chant. The EDL supporters had come from all over the UK to preach their message on the streets of Leeds. Two people have scaled the old Odeon building in Bradford in a bid to halt the demolition of the historic building and engage the community ahead of a protest this Saturday.

The Background to Pisgah House.
Pisgah House is a Grade II listed residence constructed in the 1820’s, tucked away in a quiet backwater (Pisgah House Road) at the top end of Hoole Rd. It is next door to the Etruria House Hotel, which is also a listed building. Pisgah House has a fine 2-story coach house which is itself a listed building.
